Kennedy had just left the Muehlebach
Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri after
meeting with former President Harry Truman. Senator Symington of
Missouri is standing to the left of Kennedy. This photograph was taken
in the summer of 1960 as Kennedy was lining up political support prior
to the Democratic Convention.
